Cork Medical will once again host Physical Clinics this summer for all athletes. IESA/IHSA requires all athletes to have a sports physical prior to participation in practices/games. The dates for the clinics this summer are Tuesday, June 13 and Tuesday, August 8 from 4:00-6:00. Cost is $20 cash only. Fall Sport athletes need to try to make the June 13 clinic to avoid not being able to practice.

Update from the IESA State Track Meet! McKenzie Davis with a PR and 5th place finish in the Shot Put

Congratulations to Madeleine Fox on her 2nd place Finish in the 1600 at the IESA Class 3A State Meet! Her time of 5:21.63 is a new MJHS record.

Madeleine Fox just broke the school record in the 1600M run with a time of 5:21.63 and finished 2nd in the state! Awesome run, Madeleine!

The May Board of Education Meeting scheduled for 6:00 this evening will be held in the Junior High School Library rather than at the Unit Office.

Reminder that Monday May 8th at 7:00PM in the Forsythe Performing Arts Center will be our annual Academic Awards Night. The student recipient list has been posted in multiple locations throughout the building.
Tuesday, May 9th at 7:00PM in the Forsythe Performing Arts Center, we will recognize our student athletes. All student athletes that finished the season in good standing will be recognized.
Congratulations to our very own Jerry Raisner on his Regional Office of Education selection in "Recognition of Excellence Award." This award was given to individuals who are exceptionally skillful and dedicated school professionals who have the respect and admiration of students, parents, and co-workers; play active roles within their schools and communities and have the superior ability to inspire a love of learning in students of all backgrounds and abilities.


The 8th grade class trip to Indianapolis was a successful venture, today. We started with a tour of Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the Indianapolis Colts. The second stop was Dave and Buster's for food and games! We would like to thank our Booster Club, who helped coordinate and sponsor the event.

Junior High students have been honing their bowling skills over the last couple week's in Mr. Young and Mrs. Arthur's.


PAWS traveled to North Elementary School today to read to 3rd and 4th grade classrooms. PAWS members were excited to interact with younger students in our district and also to see some of their former teachers!



Talent was on full display at the Spring Chorus Concert this evening. Great job by the North, Junior High School, and High School choirs!


A great job by Mrs. Templeton and the Student Council organizing some campus cleanup and beautification today for Earth Week!



Today, we celebrate and reward these hardworking students! We challenged our students to a fundraiser to help our school, and they "stepped up to the plate!" We are off to watch the St. Louis Cardinals and Arizona Diamondbacks. Included in this group is 4 first time attendees of a major league baseball game.

MJHS 8th Grader Evangeline Hutson begins working on her artwork for the Lion that will be placed outside the Gypsy Queen coffee shop. Last year, Evangeline's mock rendering was selected as the design winner for the back, sponsored by Gaslight Art Colony! we cannot wait to see the finished product!
