On Saturday, November 20th, several Marshall students were selected through an audition to participate in the 2021 ILMEA District Festival. These students prepared difficult music selections and rehearsed with an accomplished director at the Festival. Congratulations on an awesome performance and champioship at the 8th Grade LEIC Girls Basketball Tournament. A hard fought game all around, your Lady Cubs win 31-22! We are all very proud of your determination and hard work!

Mrs. Miller's 8th Grade Science classes completed their "Cell Models" at the end of 1st Quarter. Students were allowed to choose between animal or plant cells. Award winners are below, but EVERYONE did an amazing job! Awesome job at the IESA State Cross Country meet Molly Farrell and Marlee Heighton. Molly placed 9th, an all time best place at state, and Marlee placed 74th! Unbelievable job girls! Also, thanks to coach Ryan Arthur for doing a great job!

End of 1st Quarter & Parent-Teacher Conferences Friday, Oct. 15 - End of the 1st Quarter Thursday, Oct. 21 – 2:00 Dismissal w/ Parent-Teacher Conferences 4 – 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22 – No School w/ Parent – Teacher Conferences 8 – 11 a.m. There will be both in-person and remote options for Parent – Teacher Conferences. Building specific information will be shared soon by your student’s principal(s) and teachers. We hope all will participate!

Girls Basketball Sign-Up in the office until Friday, August 27th. Practice will begin on August 30th, 3:30 - 5:00pm. Parent Meeting will follow practice on August 30th at 5pm in the gym.

Good Afternoon, I am extremely excited and blessed to begin my journey as the Principal of Marshall Junior High School and welcoming students tomorrow to in-person learning for the 2021-22 school year. I am looking forward to a great year and getting to know you and your students. 1st Day Information -7:45 opening times for buildings and the high volume of students being dropped off, that drop-off lines will be slow. - All students will enter through the 7th Grade Student entrance, located next to the Junior High Main Office. -Dismissal time at MJHS is 11:30. Yesterday, Governor Pritzker issued an Executive Order for Illinois Schools that requires the wearing of masks indoors by all at schools regardless of vaccination status until further notice. This includes indoor sports as well. Outdoor school activities/sports have not been affected to this point. Requirements for mask wearing on school transportation were already in place. More detailed reopening plans that reflect these changes will be shared soon. Thanks as always for your patience and cooperation.

Reminder: Online Registration for the 2021-22 School Year is open. Information can be found on the Marshall Schools Website www.marshallk12.net . In-Person Registration at the buildings is scheduled for Wednesday, August 4, 8 am - 4 pm. Building Offices will be open daily beginning August 2nd if you have questions.

MJHS Baseball Parent/Player Meeting On Monday, August 2 at 7pm in the Marshall High School Cafeteria there will be a parent/player meeting for any incoming 7th or 8th grade student that is interested in participating in junior higher baseball for the 2021 season. Practice will begin then on Tuesday, August 3. Practice time is TBD.
