Due to the weather forecast, the Marshall Elementary Booster's event for tonight - the JINGLE JOG - has been CANCELED and will not be rescheduled for this year. Thank you to everyone who was interested in attending, we hope to see you at the Jingle Jog next year!!

Kindergarten showed off their Thanksgiving Balloon creations as they paraded down the hallways of South School early Monday morning.






Friday, November 14th the Kindergarten classes all hosted a lovely gathering called "Dads, Dudes and Donuts." Fathers, grandpas, male role models and others gathered together for a light snack, crafts and fun.










Reminder that school will dismiss early today, Wednesday, November 12, 1:45 at North and South / 2:00 at MJHS and MHS, for school improvement meetings.
Mrs. Douglas' second grade class earned a party during their library class time this week. They had the most students go to the library to read and get their library cards, along with a backpack with goodies, including a free book.. The contest was held at the library from Oct. 1-31. It was kicked off by Jamie Poorman, Head Librarian at the Marshall Public Library. She visited each second grade class at the end of September to introduce the competition. The Marshall Public Library provided popcorn and lollipops for the winners. Mrs. Scott read a book called Pop.


The local Marshall American Legion, along with Nancy Orin, put on a wonderful Veteran's Day Program for South School. Several veteran's attended from the American Legion. Students learned about all six branches of the military. South School second grade students participated in holding flags and signs for each of the branches. The students who participated were Elian R, Dragann P, Kendall M, Remington C, Lex M, Hazel B, Brooklyn P, Asher M, Easton M, Jaelynn B, JJ S and Nate G. We want to specially recognize and thank Mrs. Brandi O'rourke, kindergarten special education teacher, for her service in the United States Army along with Mrs. Roni Pine, paraprofessional, for her service in the National Guard.
Friday, October 31st South School held it's annual Spooktacular Road Race. It was a beautiful day for a fun-run! And thank you to Mr. Arthur for all of his planning and his High School and Jr. High Cross Country teams for assisting.








South School Staff wears pink to support those who have been impacted by breast cancer. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Marshall students are preparing for Red Ribbon Week, which is celebrated annually October 23-31. Red Ribbon Week highlights the importance of living a drug-free life.
