We were made aware of social media messages referencing rumors of a potential threat occurring in our district. Immediately, upon notification, a thorough investigation was conducted by the Marshall Police Department and the Marshall School District. The rumors of a threat were found to be unsubstantiated and not credible. We would like to commend the students who promptly brought this information to our School Resource Officer and School Administration. Although the threat was found not to be credible, we are taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of students and staff.
If you become aware of a possible public safety threat, call 911 or the appropriate law enforcement agency immediately. Thank you for your cooperation.
