Junior High Softball practice for Monday, July 28, from 3:30 to 5:15 p.m., will be in McNary Gym today do to the heat.

The parent meeting will follow from 5:15 to 5:30 p.m. in McNary Gym.

Please have the girls wear tennis shoes.

The Junior High Softball "Open Gym" scheduled for Thursday, July 24, has been cancelled.

Official practice begins on Monday, July 28, from 3:30 to 5:15 p.m., at the Varsity Softball Diamond.

A parent meeting will follow from 5:15 to 5:30 p.m.

JH Softball is open to all incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls, who are full-time Marshall Schools students.

All will need a current Athletic Physical before they can begin practice. Physicals are good for one calendar year.

School Physical Clinics at Cork Medical Center are Scheduled for Thursday, June 12, and Wednesday, August 13, 4-6 p.m. School Physicals are required yearly for all who play a school sponsored sport, and students enrolling in an Illinois School for the first time. This is a joint statement from the Marshall Police Department and Marshall Community School District. On 5-30-2025 we were informed of the arrest of a past graduate of Marshall High School in Evansville, Indiana, where the subject currently resides. The information shared with us from the Evansville Police Department is that the former student had in her possession incendiary devices with a plan to deploy the devices at her former school. The subject remains in custody on the charge of possession of a destructive device. We will remain in communication with the Evansville Police Department for the latest information involving this situation. We are grateful for the quick thinking of the St. Vincent Police Department and investigation conducted by the EPD Bomb Technicians. The safety of our community, students and staff is always our top priority and we remain committed to ensure this even when school is not in session. We will keep you informed of any further developments as they become available.

MHS Graduation for the Class of 2025 is Sunday, May 25, 2:00 p.m., McNary Gym. Following the completion of Graduation, there will be a fire truck parade at 3:30 p.m. Parade Route Begin at MHS- Teacher parking lot between HS/JH. Straight across 6th to Mulberry. East on Mulberry to 7th. North on 7th to Lincoln. East on Lincoln to Michigan. South on Michigan to Vine. West on Vine to 2nd. North on 2nd to Archer. East on Archer to 6th. North on 6th past MHS. Cars will disperse once they pass MHS.

Reminder: MHS Senior Academic Awards Night will be held at 7:00 p.m. this evening in McNary Gym.

The MJHS Robotics Team competed recently in the Illinois 4H Robotics competition. The team was made up of Anderson Williams, Griffin Medsker, Evan Setzer, Kayden Gembe, Gatlin Nicholson. They competed in Division 2, the most difficult division and performed very well.

The 6th grade Robotics Team competed recently in the Illinois 4H Robotics Competition winning Reserve Champion in the Rookie Division. Team members were: Lucas Stence, Emmett Maurer, Alyzabeth Behrens-Kemp, Lauren Setzer and Logan Baker ( not pictured)

Junior High after school homework help and also track practice cancelled for Wednesday, March 19

Youth Volleyball Clinic for Wednesday, March 19, has been cancelled.

Pre-Registration for incoming 2025 Kindergarten is now open for appointments. Please call the South School office at 217-826-5411 to make your appointment. This is for children age 5 on or before September 1st.

Reminder: Marshall Schools will dismiss early today, 1/15, for School Improvement Meetings. 1:45 Dismissal at South and North, 2:00 Dismissal at the JH & HS

1/10/25 Marshall Schools will dismiss early today due to the weather. North and South will dismiss at 12:45. MHS and the Junior High will dismiss at 1:00. All after school events and practices are cancelled for this evening.

Marshall Schools will be in session Wednesday, January 8. Bus drivers will be in contact if they need to arrange an alternate pickup.

All practices and games for Tuesday, January 7, have been cancelled. The Varsity Boys Basketball game scheduled w/ Altamont has been rescheduled for February 21.
