On Wednesday, September 16th the JH XC teams hosted their annual home meet at Mill Creek.
This meet saw both a slew of great team and individual performances throughout the meet.
The trio of Griffin Thompson, Chase Paulson, and Grayson Edwards swept 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for their race, with Thompson running an 11:52.70, Paulson running an 11:54.20, and Edwards running an 11:55.20 time; each of them managing to run a sub 12-minute two-mile.
The rest of the boys’ squad also had great races. Marshall’s Cooper Morey and Emmet Maurer both finished in the top ten, with Morey placing 7th with a 13:02 and Maurer placing 10th with a 14:20.7 time. Owen Ockerman placed 12th with a 14:34.20 time; Isaiah York placed 19th with a 16:05.7 time; and Lucas Clark placed 28th with a 19:24.4 time.
The team won the meet by a low 23 points, a massive 27-point margin from 2nd place’s Paris Mayo.
Brynna Farrell dominated the girls’ side, winning her race in a two-mile time of 14:03.40 to beat Robinson’s Lucy Mosbey by nearly 16 seconds. Caroline Nave placed 8th in a time of 16:37; Carrigan Crumrin finished 12th in a time of 17:38.30; Molly Cooper finished 16th in a time of 17:51.30, and Charlotte Reed finished 31st with a 25:15.8 time.
