The Marshall Junior High Cross Country teams wrapped up their season with a strong showing at the IESA Class 2A State Meet in Normal, Illinois.
Seventh grader Brynna Farrell represented Marshall as an individual in the girls’ race, finishing with a time of 14:21.1.
The boys’ team also had an outstanding performance, finishing 16th in the state in a very competitive field.
Individual results were as follows:
· Griffin Thompson – 12:11.7
· Grayson Edwards – 12:26.2
· Chase Paulsen – 12:35.5
· Henry Arthur – 12:45.4
· Cooper Morey – 12:58.7
· Max Walker – 13:00.9
· Emmett Maurer – 13:09.3
This meet capped off a very successful season for the Cubs, highlighted by a historic milestone, the first boys’ team in school history to qualify for the state meet. The athletes’ hard work, dedication, and growth throughout the season, calling it a memorable year for Marshall Junior High Cross Country.
