The Marshall High School Girls Cross Country Team had a great day at the IHSA State Meet on Saturday, November 8, at Detweiler Park, in Peoria. The team finished 9th place overall in Class A, which is the highest team finish in program history. Molly Farrell finished 8th with a time of 16:55.23 for 3 miles. Madeleine Fox was 16th with a time of 17:22.55. Grace Thompson was 58th with a time of 18:33.59. Myah Boyd was 183rd with a time of 20:46.78. And Addie Nave was 197th with a time of 21:00.95.
Madeleine Fox earned All-State Honors for the 3rd straight year. Molly Farrell capped off her magnificent high school cross country career with her best career time at the state meet and earned All-State Honors with her fourth top ten finish at state (5th, 4th, 7th, and 9th.)
The Lady Lions were also Little Illini Conference Champions and Regional Champions during their memorable season.
