MHS XC

The Marshall High School Cross Country team wrapped up a strong weekend at the 47th Annual Patriot Invitational, held at the historic Detweiller Park course, home of the IHSA State Finals. The meet featured some of the top competition in Illinois, and the Lions rose to the challenge with several standout performances.

Girls Varsity:

Senior Molly Farrell led the team with an outstanding 4th-place finish in the varsity girls’ race, running 17:32.10. She was followed by Madeleine Fox, who finished 8th in 18:07.50, and freshman Grace Thompson, who placed 13th in 18:36.00, showing the team’s impressive depth. Sophomore Addie Nave also ran a strong race, clocking 20:47.30 for 71st place overall.

Boys Varsity:

In the boys’ race, junior Thomas Weber ran an excellent 17:51.30, finishing 112th in a large and competitive field. Freshman Jacob Weber finished with a time of 21:28.20, continuing his progress in his first high-school season.
