5 Essentials Survey

Dear Parents,

Marshall Schools and the Illinois State Board of Education invite you to participate in the Illinois 5Essentials Survey.  In this survey, you will be asked to provide feedback about your child's school.  This survey is a requirement for Illinois schools and is designed to help school and district leadership improve their understanding of the parent/school relationship.

All responses are completely anonymous.  Responses to the survey can't be traced back to the respondent.  Additionally, your responses will be combined with other parents from your child's school and summarized in a school report to further protect your anonymity.  Your participation in this survey is voluntary.  You may elect not to respond to individual questions and may discontinue participation at any time.

If you have more than one (1) child and they attend different schools, you may elect to complete the survey for each school.  When you take this survey, please respond about the school you have selected.  This survey should take between 5 to 20 minutes to complete.

The survey is designed by UChicago Impact.  Should you have questions or concerns about this work, you can contact 5Essentials Client Services at 1-866-440-1874.

You may take the survey by following this link:     https://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/

The survey will be available until March 13.

Thank you for your participation.

Sincerely,

Kevin Ross
Superintendent, Marshall Schools

Notification System

Marshall Schools is working to improve our means of communicating important information to parents and students in a timely manner. We are proud to have a notification system that allows us to send group phone, email, and text messages to parents. This notification system can be used for reminders, school closings, emergencies, etc. As of right now, parent email addresses and phone numbers that were provided at registration are set to receive such messages. We have the text message feature set to off, as we know not all cell phone plans include texting. If you would like to change your settings for email, phone, or text messages, you may do so by logging into the Lumen Parent Portal and following the directions linked here. Emails will come from notifications@marshall.k12.il.us . Phone messages will come from 826-5912. Messages will also be posted on our facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Marshall-Community-Unit-School-District-C-2/1399433356939301 , and on our website.
