Thank you for your cooperation & patience with the high volume of drop-offs and pick-ups as we start the new year. Drop-Off Procedures have been adjusted already to hopefully have a better experience beginning tomorrow morning, Wednesday, August 19. We will continue to evaluate and update to improve Drop-off & Pick-Up procedures if possible.
ARRIVAL/Drop-Off - PERSONAL VEHICLES
Student arrival begins at 7:45. Please wait to have students exit vehicles until 7:45 directed by a Staff member.
Enter off Sixth Street and form a single line heading EAST one-way.
Before the cross-walk,
- Vehicles dropping 3rd & 4th Grade Students will be guided to the left through the “bus drop-off” to drop their student(s) along the sidewalk there. Have your student(s) ready to exit on the passenger’s side of the vehicle to keep the traffic flow moving as smoothly as possible. Those vehicles would then stay in line to exit back onto 6th Street.
- Vehicles dropping 5th & 6th Grade Students will be guided straight to the traditional drop-off area. Approach the drop-off area between the posted signs. Have your student(s) ready to exit on the driver’s side of the vehicle to keep the traffic flow moving as smoothly as possible. Please do not pull out of the moving line to park. Continue to the Seventh Street exit.
- If you are dropping off both a 3rd & 4th Grade and a 5th & 6th Grade student from the same vehicle, go left to the 3rd & 4th Grade drop-off.
Staff members will be there to guide & assist at drop-off. They will also guide students to the proper entrance. Once inside, staff members will be in the halls to assist students in moving to their classroom.
DEPARTURE/Pick-Up – PERSONAL VEHICLES
Enter off Sixth Street and form a single line heading EAST one-way. Parking will not be permitted in visitor/staff parking spaces, along the side of the fence or in the back lot to wait for your student. A new No Parking Zone is painted on the ground in the student pick-up area. This allows for Staff and students to have a clear view of the vehicles as they move forward.
Students are not to cut across to meet any vehicle. Vehicles will pull forward to meet the students in the pick-up zone. Drivers in vehicles will show the RED sign indicating the last name of the student/s to be picked up. Staff on duty will call out the name of the student/s and quickly escort student/s to the car.
Thank you for remaining in your vehicle when transporting your student/s to and from school. We want to streamline this process to move smoothly and to maintain safety for all.
